HWY 395 Jeans

I bought these in store and was able to figure out what my size is. I’m so used to US pants sizes, I didn’t know what I was. Turns out I’m a W 28. I’m 5’3” and 135lbs. I have wide hips and these pants feel really comfy. They sit on my hips and hug them just right. Obviously I’m really short and compared to the image I actually have to add a roll to the bottom so I don’t step on them, but it looks cute. These would be a 5 star for me if not for one con. The corners of the flaps above the button on the front closure rub on my skin in a really uncomfortable way when I’m sitting. After a while I just need to take them off, because it’s irritating. I really love them and wish this didn’t happen, because I haven’t found a fit this great in pants before.

I wanted to love these; I'm a huge fan of the Roark Layover jumpsuit. I'm 5'3" (~118lbs) and the cut is just really unflattering on me. I do have narrower hips, but they just look way too baggy on me (even though the waist/butt fit great and are flattering). If you're in between sizes, size up. I'm normally 24-25 and the 24 was just a bit tight. Roark, please make skinny/narrow leg jeans! These are so comfortable but they're going back because they're really unflattering on me as a petite person with narrow hips.

Dream pant. I own 4 pairs of these and wear them almost everyday. Climbing, moto riding, working, gardening literally any and every activity. Super soft and stretchy. I’ve put them through the wringer and they have absolutely held up and surpassed my expectations. Buy them now!

These jeans fit great for the first hour or so then stretch out. They become baggy and unflattering.

See my other review by the same title. These green pants are the same fabric as the brown. I wear these for everything from gardening to music performances to work events. True to size. I am 5’6” 120 lb with straight narrow hips. I usually wear a 25 and wear a 25 in these. They fit me exactly. They did shrink slightly after washing and hanging to dry, so if I gain any weight, they may become too tight. I imagine I could wear a 26 comfortably if I wanted a roomier look. I may try a 26 in the future.

These are such a nice solid sturdy fabric, but still a little stretchy for comfort. I have a long torso and these are a very nice comfy high rise. They fit in a slim flattering way. The color is a fabulous natural brown, think Carhart brown. I have several pairs of these. The evergreen is the same fabric and fit. The Crema had a shorter rise that didn’t work for me. I wear size 25. I’m 5’6” and 120 lb. I’m slim with straight hips. They did shrink slightly after washing and hanging to dry, so I recommend hanging to dry if they are a snug fit and you want to avoid shrinkage. If I wanted a slightly roomier fit, I would get a size 26.

I have two other colors in this and they’re my fave pants. The white is such a great color! But it’s a different cut. It is too short in the rise, which makes it uncomfortable and unattractive on me. I will sadly have to return them. They are not the same and not as flattering as the green sand brown versions of the same pant.

Great Japanese denim. Thick and stiff, but will break in nicely.

So good I’m gonna buy 2 more. Hard to find jeans like these.

Definitely not cut in favor of curvy figures. Ordered my true size and couldn’t pull it over my hips. Enough room for athletic thighs, but look elsewhere if you have a considerable hip to waist ratio

These jeans are the greatest. They’re unbelievably comfortable yet hold their shape well, are a true dark black I can wear to work, and are actually long enough to be ankle length for me (5’7, long legs). True to size but so stretchy I probably could have gone down one. As is they fit just fine and I could probably sleep in them. Five stars, I’ll buy every color.

I almost love these pants. I am keeping them, though I wish I’d sized another size down, and I think that says a lot. The worst part about these pants is that they’re not denim, contrary to the name of the pants. They’re this weird stretchy fabric that holds dog hair like crazy. I just don’t like it. I got black of course so it looks bad all of the time. Gosh I wish they were actually denim! However, the fit is great, even on my petit frame. I’m 5’2” with an athletic build and they look really good I think. Not skinny in the legs so they’re so comfortable and the high waist is so flattering. The size calculator told me to get a 28. I sized down to a 27 and wish I’d gotten a 26. They’re way too long so I’ll probably cut the ends and fray like someone else said.

I was hesitant to purchase these due to high waist and unsure of fit. I purchased my normal size of 29, and they are a perfect fit! And, OH, so COMFORTABLE! I think this the THE BEST high rise denim I have found. It is soft and has the perfect amount of stretch. Just enough to hold the shape, but does not sag or slip. I am so tired of skinny fit pants encasing my legs like sausages. You can say what you want about skinny fit, but 90% of the time, the style is not comfortable with denim. These are a welcome relief and they look great on. Since they only come in one length, this will vary on individuals. For me, I am 5'7" and I normally have a 31-32"" inseam. The 30 " hits right on the top of my shoe/boot and it works just fine. Highly recommend. Well made and competitive price point! Do not hesitate to purchase!

Love these jeans so much! They are the most comfortable jeans I own. I hope they remake the cream ones because I wish I had bought them when I had the chance. They fit true to size. I got a smaller size since it said they size larger but they were too tight. The return process was so easy and I got size 28 instead which is my normal size. I definitely feel confident in buying jeans and clothes from them in the future. If it isn’t the right fit the return is as easy as Amazon returns.

LOVE the Kaihara HWY 395 pant. These pants have such a nice classic look.
