Bommer 2.0 7" Shorts

These are my favorite shorts. They hold up well in the climbing gym and local crag. The magnets in the pockets are an awesome feature that makes sure things stay in the pockets without pesky zippers or buttons to deal with. No matter what activity I'm doing these shorts are excellent.

My decades-long search for great running shorts is over! These are the most comfortable shorts I have worn on the road and trails.

Having 5 or 6 pairs of shorts by Roark Run Amok, all sized Large. I was surprised that this size L fit closer around my legs. It could be the more “versatile” design of this short instead of a true running design keeps it slimmer. But all in all a good short. Smart pockets and nice material.

I have researched and tried almost every single "perfect gym short" you see all over the Instagram ads. Rhone. Centric. Ten Thousand. Huckberry's Wellen line. They're all mostly not bad. But they're not great. And all of them look so boring!! Black is cool but where is the creativity? The fun? The whimsy?! Enter Roark's Bommer line. First, the designs are just sick. Finally, some actual creativity. I was getting tired of plain black shorts. Next, comfort. I typically hate a built-in liner because they almost never fit right. But somehow, these are never slipping and sliding around. They fit nice and snug and are built into an *actual* flat waistband that never folds in on itself. The shorts themselves light, and most importantly, move with me no matter what I'm doing: running, squatting, lunging, biking, whatever. Last and most importantly: pockets. Oh my GOD the pockets dude. They've figured it out. There's a place for everything!! Phone pocket on the liner keeps it secure and out of the way. Two small side zipper pockets on either side: I use one for keys and one for my earbuds. Then the regular pockets have little magnetic enclosures to keep whatever else you need to carry safe, but because everything has a place these largely go unused. Everything is snug and secure and not swinging around when you're doing whatever it is you're doing. These shorts are exactly what I've always wanted for years and I'm so happy I found them. These shorts are amazing, from the magnets in the pockets to the ventilation everywhere these shorts are great for whatever your activity! Super comfy under liner comes in key for sweat and cooling!! Shorts are super awesome!!! Highly recommend get a set 💪❤️

Bommer 2.0 7" Shorts - excellent with one small caution. Often running is about more than just the run. Unless I’m at the track, every run needs to carry key and phone. Sometimes add to that a spine wallet, hotel key card, fig bars, and crushable cup. Need space to stow a gossamer shell when it warms during a long run. The Bommer handles all of this well and without bouncing around. The 7” length is perfect, short enough to look runnerish and long enough to mostly cover my cyclist tan line. These work well under a hip belt hiking too. Now for the caution - don’t put hotel and credit cards in the front outer shell slash pockets. I had the magnets ruin a hotel card. Should be OK putting cards in the back pockets. Very much reco these shorts otherwise.

I'm super-picky on my trail shorts, and these are easily some of the best shorts ever made. The fit is perfect, the liner is exta-comfy and so far hasn't caused any chafing - and I doubt it ever will. The cell phone pocket on left thigh is perfect placement for easy access and virtually no wiggling or annoyances while running. The zippered pockets on either hip are ideal for securing keys, cards and smaller gels and chews. The front packets have soft magnets to keep them closed and flat, but still allow easy access and extra storage for larger items when not running. My only (minor) gripe is that I wish they could have included some smaller stash pockets in the rear. Would be even better if there was a little more storage for other essentails during longer runs, but I can still highly recommend them for novices to more-experienced hikers and trail runners.

have owned 2 pairs of these shorts, fit runs small however overall comfort has been great, only issue has been the magnets, one pair had one break through the seam, on the other pair the magnet simply disappears within the seam, have stitched one back on with cloth covering overlay to keep in place, not sure will repair the other since would require cutting into the pocket, so ..... it has been over a yr so not concerned about any warranty......

These shorts made solid and comfy, stoked how they feel after a long day skimming and winchn into Shorebreak.

This is my first time purchasing shorts with built in liners. I have never like built in liners, but I tried these on and my mind was changed. Great fit and very comfortable.
