Berber Hat

All but one scathing review up till now, so I just had to weigh in with my take on this controversial hat While I'd have to agree the color's not as pictured, I like it. Looks more like real grass straw than the golden brown in the photo. Roark does a pretty good job depicting colors accurately, but it's not the first time I've received something that looks brighter or darker than it does on the site. Not a deal breaker and in Roark's case, the product usually looks BETTER in person On to the fit. I'm a bit of a hat junky (7 1/4) and my medium sized head is right between their S/M & L/XL which luckily for me, means I can wear both; my Manawa Tapu fedora is a S/M and I've got a bunch of Roark buckets in both sizes. I thought I'd go big for a floppy sunhat like this and it was a wise choice I've got a bunch of straw hats, from genuine Panamas down to paper ones from the dollar store, and this one's flawlessly constructed. The wind string's a nice touch too. Nothing more hilarious than the sight of a man chasing his hat!

Unfortunately the other reviewers were right about this, the color is a sickly dull greenish color, doesn't come close to the warm golden straw in the photos. The brim also came with a significant fold in it from the way it was positioned in the box. Pretty bummed, it was a cool design but it's an immediate return for me.

I like the idea of this hat. It’s not quite deep enough in the cap and the weave seems a little flimsy. My hair gets caught in the weave and I very much expect that the ends will fray after a few months of use. It’s a very stylish design though and light weight. I also like the color of it. Another reviewer described it as more gray-toned and for me, my order is a true straw yellow. For the price it’s a little lacking in construction quality but I will keep and use it, as the style is cute and it’s nice and light for travel .

This was an instant return for me. I reallllly wanted to like this product. I like the shape of the hat, but the color on the site is very misleading and *totally* misrepresents the actual color of the hat. The product image shows a rich, saturated, yellowish brown whereas what I got delivered is a sad, dull, greenish, seasick tan that I'd be embarrassed to be seen rocking at the beach this summer. No thank you.
