“I’m from southern Utah and I’ve always wanted to shoot that spot of the San Rafael Swell at sunrise for years, but it never worked out. This trip, I left with my family super early en route to Denver and hit that spot just as the sun came up. It was beautiful watching the sun come up as we crossed the desert. The hard part was not stopping every few miles to shoot photos.” Weston said of his winning photo. 
“I did a road trip from California to Denver last summer as part of our 20 years of Zero tour and we stopped at the same spot as Weston’s #triplonger image at sunrise as well and I posted this image of @daneburman exercising his god given right to pee off this cliff after an all-night drive from Ca. Weston’s image really brought back great road-trip memories so, that’s why I selected his image as the winner!” – Jamie Thomas
