What is Selvedge Denim?

Selvedge Denim is a narrow, tightly woven band on both edges of the denim fabric. This prevents the edge of the denim from unravelling and shows a clean, finished look. Roark's Mens Jeans come with 100% Cotton, 13oz Selvedge Indigo Denim.

What is Broken Twill?

Interwoven cotton warp yarn and filling yarn produce a 90 degree pattern called twill. As important components of raw denim the patterns come in three types: Left Hand Twill, Right Hand Twill, and Broken Twill. Broken Twill alternates left and right at every warp end creating a zig zag pattern, and helps prevent twisting.

What is Raw Denim?

Raw denim is denim fabric that has been woven on traditional shuttle looms and is made from 100% cotton. Unlike most jeans you find in stores, which have been pre-washed, distressed, or treated to achieve a specific look or softness, raw denim is in its natural state when you buy it. This means it's stiff and dark in color, with no artificial fading or distressing.
